Website Design & Development

Websites, built like products.

A site built to a speed budget and for search from day one, made to turn visitors into enquiries. No WordPress, no page builders.

Most business sites are rented furniture, themes, plugins and page builders stacked until they creak. We build owned assets instead.

The usual way

A WordPress theme, a pile of plugins, a page builder fighting them all. Slow by default, hacked when unlucky, and rebuilt from scratch every few years.

How I do it

Modern code written by agents, reviewed and shipped in weeks. Performance and SEO are build constraints, not retrofits. The site lives in your repo and improves continuously.

The build cost of a website stopped being the expensive part years ago. The expensive part is everything after: the plugin updates, the slow drift, the redesign-from-zero every time the business moves. That cycle is a stack problem, not a design problem.

We write sites as software: versioned, testable, deployed continuously. When your offer changes, the site changes the same week. When a new AI capability ships, it can land on your stack straight away, not on a vendor roadmap.

A site that earns its keep.

Design, code, SEO, one team, one system.

Design that converts

Layouts built from how your buyers decide: clear offers, honest proof, one path to contact. Designed in the open with you, not unveiled.

Modern engineering

React, TypeScript and a modern toolchain with a speed budget as a hard constraint. No themes, no plugins, nothing to update on a Tuesday night.

Migrations, rankings watched

WordPress, Webflow, Wix or page-builder sites moved to owned code, every URL mapped and redirected, content ported, rankings watched through the cutover.

Custom code & integrations

Booking, payments, quoting, CRM sync: custom functionality wired straight into the site, not bolted on with plugins that fight each other.

SEO architecture

Schema, prerendering, sitemaps and clean URLs from the first commit, built to be read by search engines and AI assistants alike.

Conversion instrumentation

GA4, conversion events and call tracking installed and verified before launch, so the site reports its own ROI.

How it works

1

Map the site to the business.

What you sell, who buys it, what they search, what convinces them. The sitemap falls out of those answers, and we'll tell you which pages you don't need.

2

Design in the open.

Real pages with real copy from the first review, no lorem ipsum theatre. You react to the actual thing, and iterations ship in days.

3

Agents write, everything gets reviewed.

AI agents produce the code; every line is reviewed, tested and performance-checked before it ships. Weeks, not quarters.

4

Verify, then launch.

Tracking verified live, redirects mapped and Search Console wired before the site goes live.

Common questions about web builds

How long does a website take to build?

It depends on the size of the site and any custom functionality. You get a real timeline at scoping, and you see working pages early, not at the end.

Why not WordPress?

WordPress means themes, plugins, updates, and security patching forever, a maintenance treadmill that gets slower every year. Modern code is faster, safer, and cheaper to evolve. For most business sites, code does the same jobs faster and with less upkeep.

Can you migrate my WordPress or Webflow site?

Yes. Every URL gets mapped and redirected, content and images come across, and rankings are monitored through the cutover so any drop is caught early. Wix and Squarespace sites migrate the same way.

Can I update the site myself?

Content that changes often (blog posts, team, offers) gets an editing workflow that fits how you work. Structural changes are code, and shipping those is part of the engagement. You'll never be stuck waiting on a page builder.

What does a website cost?

Every build is scoped to the business, so there is no price list. Tell me what you need in the form, and every quote is itemised before work starts.

What happens after launch?

The site keeps evolving, performance monitoring, content shipping, conversion tests. Many clients pair a build with SEO or Google Ads so the new site has traffic from the start.

Will my site be mobile-friendly?

Mobile is where most of your traffic lives, so pages are designed and tested mobile-first. Responsive isn't a feature, it's the baseline.

Tell me what you need.

You get a straight answer, from me.
